Hostel Space Capsule stands at Calle del Olvido 8, in the Usera district, south of the Manzanares river. It is one of the main streets of what is known as Madrid's Chinatown: Usera is home to the largest Chinese community in Spain, and the area is full of restaurants, Asian supermarkets and bubble tea shops. Puerta del Sol is about 3.3 km away.
Calle del Olvido 8, 28026 Madrid, España
Usera metro station, on circular line 6, is 200 m away, and Almendrales, on line 3, is 500 m away. Line 3 runs without changes to Lavapiés, Sol, Callao and Plaza de España: Sol is six stops away. From the Estación Sur coach station at Méndez Álvaro, line 6 reaches Usera in three stops.
From Barajas airport, about 12 km away, the most direct route is metro line 8 to Nuevos Ministerios, then line 6 to Usera; journeys starting at the airport carry a supplement. During the day, roughly from 6:00 to 23:30, you can also take the Exprés Aeropuerto bus to Atocha and continue on the C-5 commuter train to Doce de Octubre, about 950 m from the hostel. If you are driving, bear in mind there is no parking.

Madrid Río, 300 m away, is the long riverside park along the Manzanares, with more than 10 km of paths and bridges such as the Arganzuela and Toledo bridges. Matadero Madrid, 600 m away, is the former neo-Mudéjar slaughterhouse turned into a contemporary arts centre, with outdoor spaces open to all.
In the neighbourhood itself it is worth exploring the Chinese restaurants, Pradolongo park, with its lake and botanical garden, and Okuda's Two Cultures in Love arch in Plaza del Hidrógeno, unveiled in October 2026. For the historic centre, line 3 takes you to Lavapiés, near the Reina Sofía museum, and to Sol, a short walk from Plaza Mayor.
